Liztd Inc. operates the United States marketplace of Liztd. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, who can receive it, and how you can exercise choices. It applies to the website and associated features that link to this policy. Our contact is privacy@liztd.com.
The Privacy Policy is a notice of our practices. Reading it or using Liztd does not substitute for a separate consent that the law requires. The Terms of Use govern use of the service.| Information and source | Purpose | Who can receive or see it |

Anything included in a public listing, profile or review can be viewed, copied or indexed by others. That includes contact details or identifying information you put in descriptions or images. Review each post before publishing. Do not upload identity documents, financial details, access codes, private correspondence or other information you do not want disclosed.
The fields shown automatically on public profiles and listings are your username, profile photo and city; listings show a general area rather than a precise street address. You may voluntarily add a telephone number or email address to public listing content. Doing so exposes that information to other people and may lead to unwanted contact, copying or misuse. It does not waive any duty Liztd owes you under applicable law. Other account fields are not published merely because you registered. Your choices and the information you place in a public field can change its visibility.
Messages are shared with their recipients and processed to provide the service. Recipients can copy or forward them. Do not assume messages are end-to-end encrypted or inaccessible to Liztd. Access for support, security or moderation is limited to relevant operational purposes, subject to law.Liztd uses OpenAI and Anthropic (Claude) through their APIs for AI search and listing assistance. Depending on the feature, we send search queries, listing descriptions, uploaded photos and city or general-area information needed to produce a result. We do not send precise device coordinates or street addresses as location inputs to these AI features.
We do not include private messages or private account fields, such as your account name, email address or telephone number, in these AI requests. Text and photos you choose to submit can themselves contain identifying information, including contact details you have put in a listing. Remove unnecessary personal or sensitive information before using an AI feature.
We require our AI service providers not to use the inputs and outputs we submit through these integrations to train their models. This restriction concerns content supplied through Liztd's integrations; it does not guarantee control over copies of public listings collected independently by other organisations.
Processing a request may involve temporary provider storage, security review and abuse-prevention records. Retention depends on the provider, API feature, configured storage and applicable legal obligations. Some features retain files or conversation state until deleted. We do not promise zero retention or immediate deletion of all provider copies. OpenAI explains its API controls at https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/your-data. AI features are optional. You can search and create listings manually. Generated text may be inaccurate or incomplete; review it before use. A search query is not automatically a public listing. Content becomes public when you publish it. If we add providers or materially change processing, we will update the relevant disclosures and obtain consent where required.
For nearby listings, Google Maps supports location features. Your browser or device asks for permission before providing current device location, which may be precise depending on your settings. You may decline and use a manually selected area. Liztd uses that device location only to show nearby listings and does not retain it in its databases or logs after the search ends. This does not describe or limit Google's separate retention.
We use information to operate accounts and marketplace features; deliver messages and service notices; support searches and listings; diagnose errors; prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access; investigate reports; respond to requests; and meet legal obligations. We also use information for analytics, recommendations and advertising as disclosed here and in the Cookie Policy, subject to applicable consent and opt-out requirements.
We may use automated tools to flag activity or assist moderation. They can make mistakes. If an account or content decision affects you, email appeals@liztd.com to request reconsideration by a person and explain the issue. We do not promise continuous monitoring of every message or listing. Automated assistance does not remove any review or explanation right provided by law.
Liztd does not process payments between buyers and sellers or provide escrow or a purchase guarantee. Information you submit directly to another user or an outside payment service is also governed by that recipient’s practices.
Service providers support hosting, content delivery, communications, authentication, mapping, AI, security, analytics and support. Our named AI providers are OpenAI and Anthropic. We use Google Maps for mapping and nearby listings, Google Analytics to understand use of the service, and Google AdSense to display nonpersonalized ads.
Google services may receive IP addresses, browser or device details, identifiers, pages visited and service or ad interactions. Nonpersonalized advertising does not mean that no cookies or personal information are processed. A provider's role and permitted uses depend on the service and applicable terms; some providers process information for their own permitted purposes. We may disclose information at your direction; where legally required; as reasonably necessary to protect people, investigate fraud or defend legal rights; or in a merger, acquisition or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable safeguards. Another person's request does not automatically entitle them to your private information. We assess the legal basis and scope of disclosure.
Cookies and similar technologies support sign-in, preferences, security, analytics and advertising. Some identifiers can be personal information. The Cookie Policy explains available controls. You may also manage browser permissions and unsubscribe from optional marketing messages. Essential account, security and legal notices may still be sent.
Privacy requests are ordinarily free. If applicable law permits a fee or refusal for a manifestly unfounded, excessive or repetitive request, we will explain the reason and any permitted fee before charging. We use verification information only as reasonably needed to protect the request and meet legal obligations. Do not send us your password or one-time sign-in code. We do not require payment for an ordinary privacy request.
Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to Liztd and the processing, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of personal information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. You may also have a right to appeal a denied request. These rights have legal exceptions.
Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of information collected, sources, purposes and recipient categories; request correction or deletion; opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising; and limit qualifying uses of sensitive personal information. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
Send requests to privacy@liztd.com. You do not need to create an account to submit a request. We may verify access, correction or deletion requests using information reasonably necessary to protect your account. An authorized agent may submit a request, subject to applicable authorization and verification requirements. Opt-out requests are not subject to account creation or identity verification, except measures allowed by law to address fraud.
We acknowledge access, correction and deletion requests within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If applicable law permits more time, we explain the extension and its reason within the original period. We process applicable sale or sharing opt-outs and sensitive-information limitations as soon as feasible and within 15 business days. A shorter applicable legal deadline always controls.
If we deny a request, we explain the reason unless prohibited by law. To appeal, email privacy@liztd.com with the subject Privacy appeal and identify the request and why you disagree. We provide a written appeal decision with reasons within 45 calendar days, or sooner if required by law. You may also complain to the regulator or state attorney general with jurisdiction; our decision will identify the applicable complaint route where required. California residents can find complaint information at https://cppa.ca.gov/.
Google AdSense is our advertising service and is configured for nonpersonalized ads. Google Analytics is used for analytics. In connection with these services, information disclosed may include online identifiers, IP addresses, browser or device information, page activity and ad interactions. Nonpersonalized ads can still involve regulated disclosures of personal information; the available rights depend on the actual processing and applicable law.
Where applicable law treats a disclosure as a sale, sharing or targeted advertising, you may exercise the corresponding opt-out right. Email privacy@liztd.com with the subject Advertising privacy request, describing the choice and the regional site concerned. You do not need an account to make an opt-out request. Liztd does not currently provide a separate online advertising-choice page or a cookie-preference panel.
Global Privacy Control is different from the older Do Not Track setting. Browser signals require technical support to operate; merely enabling a signal does not establish that a particular disclosure has stopped. We remain responsible for recognising and acting on signals where required by applicable law. Contact privacy@liztd.com about an unfulfilled choice or signal. Email contact does not replace a legally required control or signal-handling obligation.
Device location obtained with permission is used only for nearby listings. Account credentials and private messages are processed to provide and protect the requested service and, where necessary, handle support, abuse or legal matters. If applicable law gives you a right to limit another use of sensitive personal information, send the request to privacy@liztd.com. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of users under 16; marketplace participation remains limited to adults aged 18 or older.
You can delete your account through account settings. Once you confirm deletion, the account is permanently closed and its information is removed immediately from active account systems, subject to the limited preservation exceptions described here. There is no recovery grace period. Returning users must create a new account, and the former username becomes available for registration.
The account exists in the database for its selected regional marketplace. Deleting it applies to that region; it does not delete a separate account you created in the other region. Your profile, listings, uploaded photos and reviews you authored are removed, and messages you sent are no longer visible in recipients' Liztd inboxes. Screenshots, downloads, search caches and other independently held copies remain outside this account-deletion function.

Legal exceptions are limited to records needed for the relevant obligation, request, dispute or investigation. We restrict their use, review the continuing need and delete them when that basis ends. A backup restore must not reactivate a deleted account or republish deleted content: applicable deletion instructions are reapplied before restored data returns to ordinary service. Liztd's servers and user databases are hosted in the United States. Liztd does not provide personnel outside the United States with access to users' personal information. External service providers may process information in other countries under their applicable service terms and arrangements; United States hosting is not a promise that every provider processes all data only in the United States.
Where a transfer requires a particular legal basis or safeguard, we must use the mechanism required by applicable law. Use of the site alone does not replace a required consent or transfer safeguard. Contact privacy@liztd.com for questions about a transfer involving your information.
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and processing to reduce unauthorized access, loss or misuse. No internet service is risk free. Protect your credentials and contact support@liztd.com if you suspect account misuse. If a personal-information incident requires notice under applicable law, we will notify affected people and authorities within the required periods.
Liztd accounts and marketplace participation are for adults aged 18 or older who can legally enter a contract; a higher local age of majority also applies where required. A parent’s permission does not make a minor eligible for an adult account.
If you believe a minor has supplied personal information, contact privacy@liztd.com. We will assess the report, restrict an ineligible account and delete information as required, subject to lawful preservation duties. For United States children under 13, we follow applicable child-privacy requirements; that threshold does not lower the service’s 18-plus eligibility rule.
Changes and contact
We will post the current version and its effective date on this page. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days of advance notice through a prominent platform notice or email, unless a change must take effect sooner to meet a legal requirement or address an urgent security or safety issue. We will obtain consent where the law requires it. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed transaction or remove nonwaivable rights.
