This policy sets the platform restrictions for the United States marketplace. It applies to listings, profiles, images, reviews, messages, links and attempts to arrange prohibited transactions. It forms part of the Terms of Use.
You must comply with applicable federal, state and local United States laws and these rules. Liztd may prohibit an item or activity even if it is legal to possess or sell elsewhere. An available category, license, permit or moderator’s prior failure to remove a listing does not authorize a prohibited transaction. You may not evade a ban by disguising an item, offering it free, exchanging it, linking off site or completing arrangements in messages.
Firearms, ammunition, explosives and weapons; pornography and sexually explicit material or services; and wild-caught animals or species protected under wildlife-conservation laws are prohibited on Liztd, even where a seller holds a permit. Local legality does not override these platform bans.
Do not offer firearms, firearm receivers or frames, ammunition, explosive devices, fireworks, silencers, conversion devices, parts or kits intended to create or modify a firearm, or instructions and services for unlawful weapon manufacture. Weapons designed or marketed to injure people, including stun guns, defensive chemical sprays, combat knives and other weaponised items, are prohibited.
Ordinary kitchen knives, lawful hand tools and protective equipment are not banned solely because they could be misused, provided they are not weapons by design or marketing and comply with law. Do not list toxic, radioactive or explosive substances, bulk flammable fuels, unsafe chemicals or other hazardous materials requiring special handling beyond ordinary consumer use. Lawful packaged consumer products remain subject to safety and recall restrictions.
Do not offer controlled substances, cannabis or cannabinoid products including THC and CBD, illegal drugs, human or veterinary prescription medicines, anabolic steroids, and research chemicals or peptides intended or marketed for human consumption or injection, including products labelled research use only but promoted for personal use, drug paraphernalia, or unapproved products promoted to diagnose, treat or cure disease. Tobacco, nicotine, vaping products and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Do not offer human organs, tissues or bodily fluids, or services facilitating their unlawful trade.
Ordinary lawful nonprescription consumer goods may be listed only if safe, not recalled, not restricted by another rule, and accurately described without unsupported medical claims. Opened or used cosmetics and personal-care consumables are prohibited; sealed, unexpired products may be offered where lawful.
Live-animal listings may include domestic dogs, domestic cats, domestic rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, domesticated fancy rats or mice, birds, fish, reptiles and livestock, subject to the Pet Marketplace Policy and all applicable laws. Inclusion of a broad group does not make every species in that group eligible: wild-caught animals and protected or endangered species are prohibited even if a seller holds a permit. An animal's listing, keeping, sale and transport must each be lawful for the proposed transaction.
Animal fighting, trafficking, cruelty and animals intended for abuse or experimentation are prohibited. Do not offer ivory, rhino horn, protected animal parts or other wildlife products prohibited by law. Lawful breeding and stud services may be listed when required licenses, welfare standards and other applicable conditions are met. Reservations or deposits for unborn animals are prohibited. Lawful animal supplies and care services may be listed in an appropriate available category.
Do not post pornography, sexually explicit images or services, sexual solicitation, escort services or paid sexual arrangements. Child sexual abuse material, grooming, sexual exploitation, trafficking, nonconsensual intimate imagery and deceptive sexual deepfakes are prohibited in all circumstances. Do not advertise a Personals or dating service through another category.
Stolen goods, counterfeit products, forged documents, counterfeit money, fake identity documents, stolen accounts, credential lists and unlawfully obtained data are prohibited. Do not offer malware, skimming devices, credential theft or hacking services intended for unauthorized access. Legitimate repair and security services must not facilitate unlawful access or fraud.
Do not offer identity documents, access credentials, bank or payment accounts, personal-data lists, or confidential records belonging to another person. Lawful administrative, repair or professional services must not be used to facilitate identity theft, fraud or unauthorized access.
Do not publish fake listings, fraudulent deposits, overpayment schemes, pyramid schemes, money laundering offers, unlicensed financial products, illegal gambling, deceptive investment opportunities or employment offers that disguise scams. Do not sell reviews, badges, account privileges or fabricated engagement.
A seller must hold every license or approval legally required for a regulated service and must disclose its identity and credentials where required. A claim to be licensed, verified or approved must be accurate and verifiable. Liztd may request supporting documents and restrict a listing while a material eligibility concern is reviewed.
Do not offer recalled goods, products banned from sale, items that fail mandatory safety standards, or products whose defects make their sale unlawful or unreasonably dangerous. Disclosing a recall does not make a recalled product eligible. Do not conceal defects, tamper with identifiers, misstate ownership, fabricate certifications or use AI to misrepresent an item’s condition or existence.
Threats, harassment, stalking, incitement to violence, hate directed at protected groups and unlawful discrimination are prohibited. Do not publish private identifiers, financial records, intimate material or confidential communications without lawful authority. Do not impersonate another person, violate intellectual property rights or facilitate exploitation or harm to a child. Reporting a concern in good faith through the designated route is permitted.
Do not spam, scrape without authorization, bypass access controls, manipulate ratings, misuse reporting, create evasion accounts or disrupt the service. A good-faith report does not violate this rule simply because we take no action. Deliberately false or abusive reports may lead to restrictions.
We may remove content, request information, restrict accounts or preserve and disclose records where lawful and necessary. We may act immediately in serious cases. Reporting and appeal procedures are in the Reporting Policy. These rules do not guarantee that every prohibited item is detected before it appears.
If eligibility is unclear, do not post until it is resolved. Contact compliance@liztd.com or report a specific listing through the Reporting Policy.
We will post the current version and its effective date on this page. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days of advance notice through a prominent platform notice or email, unless a change must take effect sooner to meet a legal requirement or address an urgent security or safety issue. We will obtain consent where the law requires it. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed transaction or remove nonwaivable rights.
